Precision Neuromuscular Therapy Study Groups

The following information is an exerpt from Doug Nelson's Summer 2008 newsletter:

"One of the goals in the last Instructor Summit was the formation of study groups for therapists who are learning PNMT. We realize that PNMT is not an easy endeavor, much studying needs to happen after the seminar. The best way to learn is to explore the material with others. In medical school, the mantra is see one, do one, teach one.

There are two kinds of study groups presently; those that are lead by Certified PNMT practitioners and those that are a group of therapists who are essentially at the same level, learning together. In either case, the quality of learning is exponentially greater than studying alone.

There are peer groups all around the country that are studying together. If you are in one now, I support what you are doing and wish to help you in any way I can.

For those of you who are in an area with a Facilitated Study Group, please take advantage of an opportunity that many people would love to have access to. Some of the locations are:

Facilitated study groups review each of the five core seminars individually. There is a study group for each of the following seminars: spine and thorax, upper extremity, lower extremity, head and neck, and form and function. Each of the five reviews meets for three-three hour sessions. The three sessions could take place over a weekend, but ideally would meet once per week for three consecutive weeks. Group size is limited to five students. Please note that you must have previously attended the seminar to attend its study group. The total cost for all three sessions is $150. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required when committing to a study group; the additional $100 is due at the first session.
