Open and honest communication is vitally important between you and your therapist and, in our opinion, can make the difference between a good massage and a great massage.

We want you to be satisfied with your therapy. During your session, we ask that you inform us if you are uncomfortable in any way. There are many things we can control to make you more comfortable. For example, we can adjust our massage pressure from light to deep, the facerest moves in many directions, room temperature, table temperature, volume or type of music, lighting, or change the technique we are using. We can also provide pillows, bolsters, blankets, eye pillow, candles, aromatherapy like eucalyptus for sinus congestion, moist heat therapy, hot towels, ice pack, etc. Tell us what your needs are, and we will create the perfect session for you!

Services Offered

Integrative Massage is a massage that combines different modalities or techniques. After discussing any problems or concerns you have with your therapist, she will work with you to set the goals for your massage session and design a session that is perfectly tailored to address your needs. Our staff has the skills and training to choose from an array of different styles to serve your present needs. These may include the ones described on this page as well as myofascial release, aromatherapy, acupressure, lymphatic massage, tui na (Chinese manual medicine), reiki (energy work), and lomi lomi (Hawaiian massage) among others. The approach for this massage is based on the desired outcome rather than adherence to a specific modality. This is our most popular massage.

Precision Neuromuscular Therapy (PNMT) is an advanced form of soft-tissue therapy used for the treatment of muscular discomfort. PNMT is not radically different from massage, but the goal is very outcome-based, rather than general relaxation. People who come for PNMT have a very specific agenda. They often describe a pain that is connected with certain movements or activities. This may be a recent phenomena or perhaps a low-level discomfort that has persisted for too long. The goal of PNMT is to discover and eliminate the reasons for discomfort. Your feedback is crucial, so expect to let us know what areas are important. Our job is to narrow the field of problem muscles; yours is to verify accuracy. There are some major differences between PNMT and massage, both in technique and philosophy. First, in massage it is commonplace to address all major muscle groups, with equal time allotted to each side of the body. In PNMT, the work is extremely thorough but limited to the areas involved. The therapist uses her advanced training to make decisions as to which muscles to address and how. This focus is incredibly relaxing and satisfying, as most people have never experienced such thorough treatment. A typical session is 60 minutes and does not require disrobing.

Swedish Relaxation Massage is the most popular type of massage in the United States. It involves the use of hands, forearms or elbows to manipulate the superficial layers of the muscles to improve mental and physical health. The pressure used can be light, medium or deep. In Swedish massage, you lie on a massage table and are draped with a sheet. It is a full-body massage treatment, except in areas that are contraindicated or where you request not to be touched. Each session lasts 30-90 minutes. Depending on your preferences, a massage session may involve the use of several or all of the following basic techniques: effleurage (gliding), petrissage (kneading), friction, vibration, and tapotement (tapping).

Pregnancy Massage is much like a Swedish massage. However, deep tissue massage, massage in certain areas of the body, and some aromatherapy oils are contraindicated during pregnancy. Our therapists have experience working with women through their entire pregnancy. We also have a specialty massage table that allows you to lie face down, with room for your baby. You can also lie on your side-whichever is most comfortable. We have many pillows and bolsters to perfectly support you and keep you comfortable as well as aromatherapy oils that are safe and beneficial for you during your pregnancy.

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system. By complementing the body's natural healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction. A typical session is 60 minutes and does not require disrobing.

Reflexology is a massage that uses firm, direct, fingertip pressure to deeply stimulate points on the hands, feet, ears, and scalp. The points are thought to control specific parts of the body and are used to promote relaxation and overall health and wellness. However, there is no scientific evidence that reflexology is a predictive measure for diagnosing or treating specific medical conditions. This massage can be done sitting or lying down. A typical session is 30-60 minutes and does not require disrobing.

Chair Massage When a ten to thirty minute relaxation session is needed, this is the technique for you. You are massaged fully clothed in a padded chair designed to fully support your relaxed weight. The chair is completely portable and is perfect for a therapist to come to your office or business to promote wellness or for staff appreciation. The massage chair is also available in our clinic upon request and can be a great alternative for you if you are unable to lie down for any reason.
